It may be aledged that a Four is emotional. You may even have seen his/her blue and beautiful descriptions about emotional breakdowns. However, the fact is that a Four seldom lets her feelings out in front of the public or random friends. Why? Cause Fours want their feelings to be taken really seriously, or they will feel frustrated and insecure. Thus, Questioning the sincerity of their feelings or their love for the beloved, their parents and good friends when they enclose them to you is the last thing you want to do if you are a friend to them.
Here is a story about a lovely, kind and yet a little dumb girl who a Four girl felt like to treat as a good friend after a series of delifghtful interactions. They saw a movie together. It's the Four girl's favorite movie since she was a kid. The movie's so moving that she couldn't help weeping in the middle of it. The lovely, kind, dumb girl could have been silent, pretending nothing happened, and she could also have said "Yes, this scene is sad" to be supportive. But instead, she mocked at the Four using words like this, " laying emotional, huh? hehe" Playing emotional?!! No! The fours may play cool, they could play strong, or learn to be independent, but they will never ever mess with their feelings. And just when the Four was ready to let down her guard and open up, the dumb girl pushed her out. So sadly, that's the end of their young friendship.
Of course a lot of Fours are aware of their weakness- the vulnerability when they are too involved in emotion. They work hard to prevent that to affect their career and relationship with ramdon friends. But is it too much to ask for understandings of this weakness from the ones who love them and have the responsibility to protect them from heart-broken? Well, sometimes the answer is disappointed. But this is life. Life is not perfect, full of dumb but arrogant people. And yet, we get along with it. |
